club was founded in July 1994 by a dedicated group of individuals
who shared a common love of the mountains and wanted to share their
experience and knowledge with others. Members include hikers, climbers,
backpackers and mountaineers; from beginner to the seasoned veteran.

club is involved with encouraging safe and clean practices on the
trails. Members of the club manage a section of highway 157 on the
way to Mount Charleston as part of the Adopt-A-Highway program.
The club also is involved in trail clean-up projects at Mt. Charleston
and the Red Rock Conservation Area.
